What's the project

This project was a reinterpretation of a previous made boardgame. I made a digital version with some of the mechanics from the boardgame. The goal of the game is to grow your town but not run out of building recources. You have different types of buildings and some affect each other positive or negative.

The process

At first i wanted to learn more about procedural generation. I did this by watching some youtube tutorials and after that just experiment more with the code I had. With this i could create my own styalized version of islands and biomes generating. After this i worked on the simple building mechanics and scoring. I wanted to implement more after that but had no time left sadly. I could have gone bigger with the idea of having some effects at certain biomes or better balancing of the building stats. I learned alot about generation and again grid systems.
